Gilbert AZ Restaurants -- Joe's Farm Grill
One of the great things about Gilbert AZ is that it combines aspects of country and urban living, and one of my favorite restaurants is a perfect example of the wonderful contrasts that still exist in the Southeast Valley of the Phoenix metro.
Joe's Farm Grill has been featured on the Food Network Show "Diner's, Drive-In's and Dives" and has quickly become a local favorite. Joe's Farm Grill is located on the perimeter of Agritopia -- which is an interesting residential community that contains a 12-acre urban farm.
According to the folks at Joe's Farm Grill, the production methods at the farm exceed the standards for USDA Organic. The produce from the farm is used at Joe's, as well as, the local Coffee Shop and the Agritopia Produce Stand.
The Owner of the restaurant is a member of the Johnston family that originally owned the farm land. The main restaurant building, pictured below, was once the Johnston's home. Like most of the customers, however, my family loves to eat outdoors -- there are plenty of picnic tables and large trees, on the landscaped site.
As fun as the setting is -- the food is just as good! My personal favorites at Joe's Farm Grill are the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Fontina Burger (which includes roasted red pepper, grilled mushrooms, field greens, farm-made pecan pesto, and fontina cheese). MAJOR LEAGUE YUM!! Overall, a great place to bring your family and friends, or visitors to the greater Phoenix area.
